Dean started his career working in the accountancy profession and after attaining his accountancy qualifications spent close to ten years in the Corporate Finance department of BDO Binder Hamlyn working as a due diligence specialist in support of clients M&A and Financing transactions.

Dean left the accountancy profession in 1994 and since then has worked exclusively as a transaction adviser to the biotech sector (human health and agritech). Transaction advice has covered M&A, Licensing and Financings across a broad range of transactions from the small (less than US$1m) to the large (US$500m+). The cumulative value of successful transactions that Dean has advised on totals in the US$ billions.

In the period from 1994, Dean has worked with transaction boutiques (Managing Director at Ferghana Partners), in corporations (VP, Business Development at SemBioSys Genetics) and as an independent consultant.
