Dr Arnison is a widely experienced expert on the agricultural biotechnology industry. He has been involved in commercialization of research, technology transfer and start-up company operations for more than 30 years. He has experience as a commercial plant breeder and has participated in the development and implementation of haploidy and novel hybridization systems. He has extensive experience in intellectual property issues and technology assessment. Most recently he has been involved in plant natural products for use in pharmaceutical and personal care products. He is an expert in development of phenotyping and imaging technologies in agriculture and was a key strategist in winning $37 million in a major federal award for the development of a national effort on digital agriculture.
